Get used to it- whatever happens with your 'tour, there will be a bunch of people ready to blame you for it.

I have this for $7 a month, sure makes me warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I'll get my money back should I happen to total it. I would actually get more by totaling it then selling it..mmm Maybe Buckshot could race my car for me so I can new one USAA provides this if your car is financed and insured through them. The only things this doesn't protect you from are: a) your deductible b) your desire to trade before you pay it off TB

98 CSVT, basic mod's, my slowest car yet but still faster than the wife's Talon Tsi AWD. Not by much, though. Now if I could get the back wheels to do something....

oops posted too fst gl not lx. Anyway, terror in the details. Who would owe more than the trade-in? If I did, I would aim for a Hummer and get a minor to drive. Then, I might have a case. Too bad we all don't transport Faberge' eggs. What gets me is the ins. quote. That's a total in most actuary tables, I believe a 95 Contour is totalled at 3500 repair cost? Depends on your agent.

the trottle on my 95 Se Mtx hung right after I bought it, it was fixed under recall. I was following my husband to drop the car off for an oxygen sensor replacement and coming off the interstate it was fine. I went to pull out from the off ramp onto the street I needed and when I shifted into 2nd gear she hung and hit almost 7 grand. I simply pushed in the clutch, shifted to neutral and drifted into the dealer! I didn't rear end my hubby and he wasn't that far in front of me!! Blame your own lack of driving skills, and failure to remain calm, not the car! You don't blame a gun for killing someone, and you can't blame the car for your screw up!! Get a bicycle and the rest of us will be ALOT safer.
95 Teal Se 5 spd,duratech, loaded(except moonroof) no mods.

Your lack of driving ability should not reflect on the car you own...
Learn to drive and handle emergency situations before you blame other things for your short comings...
Nothing to see here folks; move along...

Along the throttle hang lines, I'm experiencing it almost daily (posted last month). I'm looking for solutions if anyone is offering. It really makes the car undriveable when it's going on:
"I've had this problem ongoing with my SVT as long as I've owned it. The IAC valve and throttle body were replaced at 60K miles, but the problem resurfaced a few weeks back (77K miles now). Don't know if winter gas has something to do with it. I'd messed around with the TH fix a long while back, to no avail. In my case, you can actually feel the car pulling without touching the gas (like the cruise control is on). And then if you go to shift, the revs will actually rise up to 3500-4500 rpms and hang there up to 15 seconds before eventually (slowly) falling back down. You can tell when the problem will occur when the idle is ~1200 rpms at rest vs. ~750 rpms when the problem doesn't occur. Hopefully not something that is going to be as frequent a nuissance as it had been prior to the new t-body and IAC valve..."
