My 95 tour was idling bad and stalling after finding a melted pcv hose and replacing it it was running ok until I was in traffic and the tach went to 5000rpms and I diddnt have time to put it into nuetral ... I ran into a toyota truck and my tour was totaled at 35mph!!! te truck only had bent bumper brackets! the bumper did not even have a scratch... the worst part is that my ins paid me 4200 bucks and I owe 5500 bucks so i am without a car until I pay my loan off ..I was a ford fan but I will never buy another one after all the recalls and problems(ex.water pump impellers)and astronomical depritiation. sorry guys(and girls) but the ford contour is in my opinion one of the worst cars I have ever owned .. (I wonder if ralph nader would write a book on the contour(just kidding))good luck to the rest of you suckers ....I mean proud car owners
