Christ, and here I thought I was going nuts. First NECO was down for a while, then work and (more work) gets busy, then I had issues getting to CEG for a couple of days.
Again, I want to stress to the remaining people that we really are trying our hardest to resolve this situation. I really can't even tell you how many times I was put in a minor financial bind giving somebody a refund and eating ramen and taco bell for the next two weeks because they wanted to have their spot bought out of the GB, but I did it anyway for one reason and one reason only- We really wanted to get a beautiful and unique hood made for the 99+ Contour (And 98.5+ SVT) that flowed well and looked great.
What we originally set out to do was completely perverted by poor supply and manufacturing issues, then ended up with us being somewhat screwed over by equally poor business decisions on behalf of the manufacturer in handling our situation on not just this product, but another product we tried to have made for the Cougar/Contour (IMRC covers).
All of this has left a rather sour taste in our mouths for trying to get new products made, but we're not going to give up so easily. I love these cars and this platform greatly, more than any human being should love a piece of metal and plastic I think, but please be assured that in the future we will take careful steps to ensure that we have a legal advisor examine and re-draw any contracts we sign, query the vendor on their business standing and future plans, make forcible delivery dates, superb quality control, and have a reputable history.
When we asked the question "Say, can you get a hood made for us?" and were told "Sure, minimum 20 for the purchase, get us a hood and we'll fit whatever scoop you want, we can turn it around pretty quick", we took it at face value.
Instead we were all left with YEARS of waiting and suffering. I honestly don't think I'm going to know what it's like to live without thinking about when the hoods are going to be complete, because it has been EVERY day for the past few years. But we keep on trying to get this taken care of because it's our responsibility to you guys.
More answers are coming as soon as we can get them (or beat them

) out of our vendor.
There is no way we can even express the thanks to those who have stuck it out this long.
