If that's the case, then wetsand it with 400 grit and then 600 grit and it's ready to spray with clear. All basic prep (wash, wax/grease remover, ect) must be done before hand of course.

Hey Guys, well i recevied my hood about a week (i believe) before Christmas! And well.... here's my 2 cents about the whole thing... Lets start with the good.~~~ The hood is amazing. I looks beautiful. All my corners are smooth, the opening is straight, the latch is sturdy, the carbon fiber looks mint! Now the bad~~~ Are you F@#$ING kidding me>??!?!??! I waiting for 2 years for THIS! It doesn't even have the right holes drilled. I mean i couldn't put this on my car even if i wanted to. Who makes a product... that doesn't FIT was its supposed to?!?!? Trial and error hole drilling??? No, wait... i'll spend another 300$ to get it clear coated and have a company drill holes and put it on for me! WTF! I'm so disappointed. This is the 3rd CF hood i've recieved. Don't get me wrong, it looks the BEST out of any hood i've EVER got, but what joke on the fittment! Also.... were are my hood pins i was promised after my 2 year wait??? No trying to be a jerk... because i've been quiet for this whole fourm. Keeping my cool and waiting patiently. But honestly guys....

You were given an option to wait for the perfect fitment. Now that you didn't make the choice to wait, you complain for fitment when that was told to you before they shipped it to you. Gimme a break. You made your choice, you knew what you were getting, now sit down and shut up... GOD that torques me. I would understand your point if we weren't given a choice. But NorCal gave us a choice whether we save more on shipping and drill our own hole OR choose to wait for the correct ones. I choose to wait, but I guess you didn't.

Are you kidding?
I wanted mine so I can finally start something I planned on 3 years ago. I justed wanted the whole deal over and done with, I can fix holes, you got to get it cleared anyway, I am sure a shop will take care of the alignment if you pay them for the clear.

Not trying to be a pest, but it's been a couple weeks since the last update, any word NorCal? I'd really, really like to get my hood. Even my extreme patience is begining to wear a little thin.

My problem with the hood is that I have a F'ing chip on the driver side corner near the windshield. Not enough to send it back and wait another 2 years for it though!
