What type of screen is in the scoop? Is it just to keep debris out or will it do anything to keep water out of the engine compartment? From the picture, it doesn't look like a plain screen--looks kinda white--which leads me to wonder what it is. BTW, the hood looks very good. I got mine from the other GB but if I had a choice, I'd really have to think hard.
I have already rain tested the Fiberglass prototype....there are NO complications with the rain.
It is desigened to keep debrie out....The Fiberglass one, has a stanless steel look....I ahvent taken a good look at the CF version though.

The screen on the carbon fiber model is black. It will help keep debris out like Lupe noted, but will not keep out water. While driving, this is not an issue as water is unlikely to collect in any one place due to the movement of air over the vehicle. At a standstill, water can collect to an extent, but there is a slight upturned lip where the screen is molded in which will force the water to pool slightly before it goes anywhere.
Water dripping down into the engine compartment at that location isn't a big deal. Lupe has been driving around with his fiberglass prototype of the hood for months now without issues, even through the recent rains we endured.

Are there any shots of the entire car with the hood on? The close ups are nice for seeing the quality, but how about some full car shots so we can get an idea how it looks overall?

I have some full shots I will post next week.
We never took them before because of the rainy weather.
Also I drove 150 miles through a storm with this hood.
No problems what so ever. However I did put the IMRC cover back on.
Looks crazy to see the heat come throught the vents.
And for those that asked about the alignment of the hood in the pictures. The Hood was not closed. What can I say Im no photographer and I was just too excited to have the hood on.
