Sorry, I thought I posted a few days ago but I guess my post didn't go through?  Well anyway. Here's the update: Straightened things out with the mfgr. They say they can't get exact dates because of the lack of communication on behalf of the factory, but they say the fiberglass ones are done and in transit (this or next container) and the carbon fiber ones are in production. They aren't sure if they're halfway through or near the end of production. I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience in this matter. It's left Devin and I with frazzled nerves and more than just irritation. We're looking into doing something special for the folks that ordered and we'll let you guys know by the time the hoods come in what that is.  Thanks for sticking with us through this.

Iight...what kind of business can't figure out when and where products being produced for PAYING customers are??? In all honesty that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. I agree with TheGreatOne, the manufacturer should be able to freakin find out what their own factory is doing. If this is how they treat all their customers, I'm surprised they have any customers at all. I'm a very patient person but even I'm getting a bit frustrated with them.
However, I do think Dev and NorCal should be given a fair amount of credit for keeping us all pretty well updated throughout this entire thing. Honestly, I think that is what has kept this gb so civil and tolerant over the entire year and a half or more that it has been going on. I hope this is all over and done with by end of summer, only thing is, once I get my hood, I don't know what I'll come to the gb forum looking for....

nothing against DEV or NORCAL, just my .02
i watch this post just cause i hope for the best for you guys and i already have my hood from another buy and i still feel bad for all of you.
