What about dzus fasteners? I'm sure you could find some low profile ones that aren't to ugly. I remember a guy with a 426 Hemi 6-pack car that had locking hood pins. You got a key to open the hood. pretty cool stuff

I do have a few ideas on avoiding using them and keeping it safe from poping up......but I'm making a backup plan if they don't work.......
Remember that we're providing free hood pins to those who purchased in this group buy as our small attempt to make up for the wait.
In addition, these hoods do use the stock latch, the hood pins are simply to help secure it and prevent you from getting what I call carbon-blinders at 70mph on the freeway.
