Dev- cool, thanks for allaying my concerns, do you think you guys could get a CF heat shield for open air elements going for us if aerogear is cool?? Just asking. . .and as for the hood, I'm excited, I can't wait, this has been so long, it's like being with this REALLY hot girl for like a year, and never getting farther than you had hoped, and prom night is "the night" so to speak. . .this is my prom night, I can't wait for this hood, damn I'm getting wood. . . where's that crazy dancing nana??

You have prom in the middle of the school year? I always thought it was an end of school type thing. Speaking of hot dates-for my senior prom I took 3 broads. Uh yeuh, it was a good night.

I think now is an appropriate time for a couple of bow chica bow bow's!

well, there really is no reason to get offensive about what i posted. im just giving my experiences with this same company. and my name is woody....not really digging the deragatory remark towards it....
I got my hood from one of the employee's in the marketing department. After that...it all went down hill. and yes, i am in norcal. Small town called Jackson...about 2.5 hours northeast of san jose.
Like i said before, I hope that you guys get better service and products that I and a bunch of other people on other forums have gotten. I will never purchase from them again.
But it sounds to me like you got all the bases covered. Do you have these agreements on paper? I was given this guys "word" that I would have a new hood in less than a month. as you can see....5 months later, this is not the case.
And, thanks for offering the help, but I have long since sold the car. I am now just going to auction the hood for cheap on ebay and hope that I can get something back close to what i paid for.

I purchased a hood from them in June for my old car (98 gti vr6). I took it home and tried to install it. It was the worst fitting piece of crap i had ever seen. It would even latch at the latch point. So, I called them and told them of my misfortune. They apologized and said I could come pick a new one up in about 3 weeks. I called 3 weeks later...and they informed me that they had not come in yet. They said another 3 weeks. So another 3 weeks...same thing. Another 3 weeks...same thing. It has now been almost 5 months.....and they still keep telling me the same thing. I still have this piece of crap hood sitting in my garage...and am getting the run around with them. I pray that you guys do not have the same problem as I had. But I will tell you, I am not the only person who has experieces similar to these. Check any other message board, and almost all of them have at least 1 person who had the same problem. I have given up and am not expecting a new hood.
Unfortunately I believe every word you typed, and I am fearing the worse. A 'good' company just doesn't conduct business the way Aerogear does. What do they care what the final product is like, they have alienated their customers long before they receive anything.
No offense towards nor or dev. or anyone else for that matter. Just thinking aloud.

Yeah, but the Cougar has rear seats that fold flat, and a huge hatch area... Plenty of room for 3 back there

My back seat folds flat too Then again, I have subs and an amp back there, along with a battery. Besides, the front seats always worked fine for me
