Would it be too much to ask to get some kind of 'hard' news. Something like yes the prototype was finished on mm/dd/yyyy, or it will be shipped on.. etc?

I only read the last rwn pages or so, so I don't know if this has been covered. From my understanding, there is a prototype only on the way. correct? Once the prototype get's in, will the rest of the hoods be made here?
I'm already thinking of ways to spend the raise I get in Dec and Jan.

form what I understood from NorCal, they are being made here in Northern California. Assuming that all is fine with the prototype.

Unfortunately NO, they will be made oversea's as well. When we originally were setting this up, we checked with all of the "local" places, and they all cost too much, and we couldn't have come anywhere near the price that you all paid for these.

I just want to add that the delay, while is a bummer, doesnt really bother myself simply for the fact that you guys are posting progress (or atleast keeping us up to speed) Anyone *kough* starting a project like this should take notes on how this was handled. Your communication is appreciated.

We're definitely using this as both a learning experience and incentive to seek out a different manufacturer for future projects. Price point is a big sticking factor with most people, but in the future we'll weigh the options and present what we can to you for choice.  Kind of a hard choice. I've talked to them before about stuff and they've even made a few mags and what not.
