Bar's leaks is a good product. But it's not made for permanent use. It would have been a lot cheaper and a effective to use a couple of raw scrambled eggs. When the water temp goes up, it poaches the eggs and they get stuck in whatever leak there was.
I know it's a buzzkill. But, get the system flushed and put a new pump in. It will save you tons of money down the road when the engine siezes due to a bad pump.
