Mr. DarkHorse,
Go into the Dealership and ask them what does your Emissions Warranty cover.
They should be able to tell you that...
The Emissions warranty is for 3yr/36,000 miles, same as the Bumper to Bumper warranty.
There is an 8yr, 80,000 mile warranty on the Diagnostic System, which INCLUDES the PCM (Computer), and ALL THREEE Catalytic Converters.
O2 sensors are on your dime.
I had the FORD Premium Care Warranty for 5yr/75,000 miles.
The Warranty replaced my Transaxle, Three Cats, 4 O2 sensors, A/C Compressor, Mass Air Flow, & IAC Motor.
All I had to pay was the $50 deductible.
If your extended warranty is NOT a FORD Warranty, then welcome to the Land of Warranty rip offs.
Never buy any extended warranty, unless it comes DIRECTLY from the Automobile Manufacturer.
Your entire job should be covered by the Ford Emission Warranty.
If the Service Manger doesn't agree, maybe you can persuade him to call FORD Customer Service and ask them for you, before YOU call them yourself.
Be nice, don't get upset, but remain firm, calm, and in control of the situation.
It will get you farther doing it this way.
After the job is done, make sure you pick the car up EARLY, and test drive it ASAP.
If there are any other problems related to the repair, it is better to get back to the dealer, the same day you pick up the car.
