Does the light flash a code (1 Hz with pauses) or just come on and off when it pleases? If it is the former, read the code and post it here (or better yet, take it in for service--shouldn't trust us on safety questions
). If the later case, it sounds as if it is activating itself for some reason. If you have traction control, it is probably falsely detecting wheel slipage (mismatched tires or damaged wheel speed sensors are most probable causes).
