Interesting...

Don't forget that it is normal for your brake fluid level to go down slightly as your pads and rotors wear and the calipers have to travel further (thus, you aren't really loosing fluid--it is just relocating). If you top off your brake fluid and then replace pads/rotors, you'll find that your reservoir will overflow.

Disclaimer: I'm not a brake guy, so I probably didn't describe the system quite right, but I believe that the basis concept is correct.

Mine comes on every time I drive right now. Its starting to mellow out now the snow is melting and the temps are rising. It will do it if I go to a automatic carwash with undercarriage spray.

Mine disables the rear wheels first, then eventually the fronts too. Someone mentioned that there was a TSB for the ABS. Apparently there is a waterproof connector under the car somewhere that, well, isn't. The water gets inside and then the short between the connections freak out the ABS.

I find it funny, Ford put ABS on our cars as a safety feature. When it snows/rains/etc when the ABS is most needed, the moisture turns it off.

When I finally wash the little beast I will have to climb under and follow the wiring and find out. smile

This will probably happen when I install my Aussie Bar.
