I have to kill the moose this weekend. How do I reset the computer after I install the copper end cap with the hole in it? Do I just disconnect the battery?

The best i have found is disconnect the battery and the #4 and #11(under hood) fuse, for about five minutes. Then connect all of them back up and start your car, let run until idle goes back to normal.

Do one or the other - both is redundant.

Pulling fuse #4 and #11 is the best.
You can also pull fuse #9 to be sure.

Disconnecting the battery will erase all the settings in your radio and we all know that a properly configured radio is worth 50 HP alone.
I would hate to have to tweak my radio all over again.

When you have had the fuses out for at least 5 minutes, reinstall them and then start the engine.
The engine has to idle with ALL of your accessories OFF, until the cooling fan has come on.

Then you can get in it and go driving again !
