You don't actually say what problem the car has. Does it pull to one side or the other? Under braking? Or not? Anyway, you could have the old rear lower suspension arm bushing problem that the Mondeo group mentions on their website. I don't even know if the Contour shares suspension engineering 100% with the Mondeo or not but it's a place to start since replacing tie rods isn't doing it for you. In short, the rear bushing is a split design (the front is solid) and prone to failure rendering alignments unaffective. Check it out. Anyone want to second this diagnosis?
