Do as you will my friends...

In my experience the largest gains were from underdriving the P/S pump itself.

The claimed crank gains of the SHO UDP set is 4-5HP.
If the P/S pulley does even half that (IMO it does over half!) then it's still a push comparing the SHO UDP set to a DMD with a UD P/S pulley! The DMD setup could possibly make more!
On top of that the DMD setup would gain the numerable drivability and longevity benefits running a DMD offers.

More food for thought.

My blown engine was from loss of oil pressure or lack there of from a turn not from any crank vibration etc. etc. straight from ford, not the turn thing (they wouldn;t admit that when it happened) but they did admit it was oil pressure.

Thanks,
Eric

Crank whip can cause the crank to pick up a bearing (spin) or damage it. Either would give loss of oil pressure. The 2 go hand in hand!

I have a hard time buying into the fact that ONLY a right hand sweeper at high rpms is what kills the engine. I did that every day of the week for a good year or more (near 360 degree cloverleaf at 60-90mph flat out both to and from work!) before anyone started saying it was bad and never had a failure or even bad oil analysis readings.

Now I try and watch the right handers a bit more, but still go all out on the lefties when I can.
