So yea I'll take the 4-5 plus hp proven (my friend here) dyno advantage and run with an engine that's given me fits anyways.

This has been debated extensively but let me try this..
Would your 99SVT have blown if it had a DMD??? What we know.. 1) There is no debate (I think) that the original damper failed to adequetely prevent crank bending harmonics. The debate is wether or not the crank bending "whip" is causing the bearing failure OR not. At least 2 bonified experts feel strongly that it is, at least one that it is not. This is unlikely to be settled as no research is being done & Ford has moved on.
2) Even if a UDP is no worse than stock...you cannot run a DMD with an UDP. So you must choose....
3) You now have a choice...can buy UD pulleys for accessories and STILL run the DMD.
As an asside..a pre/post dyno showed a 2 HP gain with DMD. Dyno error vs gain from reduced friction???
Do as you will my friends...
