So he can't put a modified Caprice grill on an SS. Don't know why anyone would go through the trouble of painting a Caprice an Impala color to be a fakie.

Its very likely. I have been to many shows around here where people have taken caprices, and made them almost identical to impalas. I dont think anyone with an Impala would want a caprice grill. Just my .02, and experience

They used the column shifter in the Imapala in 94 and 95 b/c they shared a lot of same parts with the Caprice. The Caprice had the column shifter to allow for more interior room and maybe a sixth passenger. In 96 the Impala got a floor shifter.

damn this is probably one of the most ridiculous things ive read at this site. AirKnight that statement was ignorant beyond words. u must have lived a sheltered life over there...
Agreed.
Agreed, oh wait, I meant disagreed. First of all, it doesn't seem like this was meant to be a blanket racist statement written to start a flame war. It seems more like a poorly worded compliment. It may be an ignorant statement as written, but honestly who would come out and say something like that blatantly? Second, it seems that Antonio handled the comment in his first post so why the need for everyone to jump on the bandwagon and trash AirKnight? Let it go.
righhhhhttt....i dont know why you would expect people NOT to react..... and who is 'they' anyways? these guys are hispanic (i thought latinas {as stated in the 1st thread} were females) so i dont even see what it would have to do with antonio at all...
Andrew, it is cool. Let it go. I wrote my reply and I hope this matter is finished. I took what Airknight as a pretty dumb statement and I spoke my peace. If I can forgive Trent Lott for his stupid ass comments I can surly forgive another CEG member. So don't even worry about it man. Just to be known, Airknight your comment was stupid and out of line.

I dont think Air Knight was refering to African Americans, he was talking about Mexicans. I see nothing racist with what he said. I think everyone has the right to disagree with the tastes of other cultures Now either we can all hate on Mexicans together or you guys can just flame me too. LOL I think Antonio can agree with most of my statements. It just came out wrong I think. Sorry if hispanics on here were offended by my remarks. But you should be ashamed of your wire wheels and sensless paintjobs.

Yeah that was pretty wack for the peanut gallery to jump in. And I agree it seemed more like a compliment gone wrong or taken the wrong way than any kind of racial statement.

WTF? Hispanics aren't the only people that have wire wheels and candy paint. In addition some of that sh!t is pretty tight IMO and probably many others or there wouldn't be a market/car shows for it. Come on man, stop the bullsh!t !!! Your statement was twice as bad as Airknight.
