Yesterday a mechanic told me that the plug wires were not original parts and that I should change them. So this morning I did that, and now my car runs like new. No more OD light blinking (code always said speed sensor) or rough shifting. Have spent over $300 on sensors and wiring and have been chasing this problem for 6 weeks. F'n Ford told me I needed a new transmission for 2000 bucks! What a bunch of A-holes. I'm going to tell them tommorrow. What a burden off my shoulders. Never thought plug wires could affect the ATX but they can. Hope this helps someone else. Thanks, John

Electromagnetic fileds generated by some spark plug wires can effect other electrical devices. This may have been your problem.
