Then what stops MTX owners from free revving their engine and blowing them up??? Why doesn't the engine blow above 4000rpm in regular driving?

The engine has a set rev limiter at 6750 or 7000rpm respectively

The ATX PCM has a rev limiter in park & neutral to protect the torque converter. The reason 4000rpm was picked instead of a lower number is that so the IMRC could be checked while in park on the Duratec.
