First thing is to decide what you are modding for, and then come up with a mod plan. Lot's of shiny things out there, and it's easy to get distracted, slap a bunch of parts on, and then be disappointed with the results.

Cut open the stock air box? I have a drop in K&N but I didnt do anything to the air box. What does this accomplish and how is it done?

Cut holes in the bottom for better airflow.

I could not find a How To for this. Is there a general size? How many holes? Thanks for the help.

Its easy. Pull your air-filter and the plastic cone that surrounds it. Flip it over, so you're looking at the bottom side. Now...remembering that the majority of the air that is drawn into the MAF occurs in the 1st 3-4" of the filter, drill 6 1/2" (2 rows of 3 spaced evenly) on each side of the very most bottom point (for a total of 12 1/2" holes)as close to the base as you can. You'll notice that by doing that...you'll draw air from the open space on the front and back of the trans-axle. Go slow...the plastic is brittle.

Ooops! Or...buy mine as I'm going to a big open element and CAI. (With Drop-in AFE Filter ;-)
