I had to change a clutch out on a 69 Cutlass in the snow and 20 degree temps once. All I had was a socket set, a bumper jack, and some concrete blocks. No one said it would be fun. It's all about saving money, and the pride in yourself for doing what you gotta do. And don't be so hard on mechanics, they do need to make some money to eat and pay the rent.

Just be sure to check the wires good. Not switching and lean can mean the wires are shorting to ground somewhere.

1131 means the bank 1 sensor can no longer sense anything but a lean condition. This usually means that the heater inside the sensor died, or there is a problem with the wiring. If a severe lean condition does exist on just one side of the motor it would have to be intake gaskets on that side and it would run really bad.
