You seem to enjoy doing automotive work. Why not ask the dealership if they will hire you. I have heard that they will pay for your training and tools.
Automotive work gets more and more interesting the more you know. I bet the military is looking for people like you to repair their equipment. I used to be a Damage Control person onboard a US Navy Ship. I traveled all over the world for free and food and lodging was always paid for. They even paid for my ski trips in Switzerland and etc. The only bad thing about the military is they don't pay overtime.
If I were you I would consider a career in the military. You can usually find the number for your local Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard in the Phone Book. Here is a link to the US Navy website:
