Ok first past 50 or 60,000 miles never flush your tranny fluid, it is tranny suicide. Second the screw out are $20 but to be on the safe side get the combo pack with the Drill out in them as well its about $40-$50.
they sell separate screw out things for less than $5 each i think, but then you may get the wrong size.

Not change the fluid, FLUSH the fluid. Several trannys have died after a long-overdue flush.

ok well I have 44,000 miles on my car...I ahve to look at the service history but I do not recall having my transmission fluid flushed. Is this something I should have done or should do now?
Yeah, it should have already been done. IIRC you should change it at least every 30K.
