Just put mine in took about 30 minutes. Very easy to do, the only bad thing about it is that when you go into and out of 5th gear you have to pull up on the reverse lock out. No big deal to me. Looks and feels great!!!!

Well it is really easy.

1. remove shifter knob, and plastic shaft with boot.

2. remove retaining clip in left corner of the plate. (gold on the side of shifter mount) pull it loose carefully.

3. remove bottom linkage (I used a screwdriver) should just pop right off.

4. Then remove torx screws (4 of them).

5 The shaft and everything should come out at this point.

6. remove the black rubber boot and the thing that holds the ball. Put those things on the new shifter the exact way the came off. Becareful!!! Grease up the ball I used bearing grease which is the same as the stuff that is in there.

7. Reverse the process and you are done.

Oh the shifter boot. It is held on the to the shaft with a wire tie. Just cut it out and thread it with a new one and put it on the new shaft and you are done.

Any questions just ask.

Let me know if anyone else runs into the problem with 5th gear.
