Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor Fault
Normal Operation
The air bag diagnostic monitor performs several self - tests every time the ignition switch is turned ON. If any of these tests fail, the air bag diagnostic monitor will flash diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 53.
Possible Causes
1. Internal air bag diagnostic monitor self - test failure.
Probably corrected when they disconnected/reconnected harnesses.
