It seems most people here hate the Focus (thus the title) but for those of you that don't...

I posted pics when I first got the car in May and figured it might be safe to try again. I've gotten some PMs asking about it lately.

Anyways, no real mods, just my ghetto cold air intake that doubles the mighty Zetec's HP to 103hp. Actually it helped in the summer. Unfortunately I one day forgot how my brain works and rubbed it off on a curb when I parked the car... d'oh!

The car has yet to get a single blemish aside from a nasty chip caused from the mother of all grasshoppers combined with the Focus' top speed of 170kph.

Rear window sticker is a KnuKonceptz.com banner

Onto my pride and joy...

My ultimate goal for the stereo is perfect sound quality. My stereo consists of an Alpine 7876 HU, the Lambda Acoustics PB15 powered by an Alpine T757, BG Neo8 transducers in custom kickpanels (flat speakers) and Alpine SPR-175A 6.5" mids in the front door location powered off a Phoenix gold amplifier and the stock rear speakers which I just fade out cuz I don't have surround sound. The SPRs will be replaced by two 10" woofers built into both the passenger and driver footwells with custom metal enclosures (Monkey play with welder...) and of course all power wire/terminals/speaker wire was provided by Knukonceptz.com.

Since I took that pic I flipped the box upright and moved the amp a bit further from the Sub. I also replaced the wire with Kompressed Kables and bought new hardware from Bill. I have new pics but the scanner is the devil...

Anyways so far no problems! The wheels haven't fallen off yet, no engine fires, just my magic wipers that work by themselves for no apparent reason, that and some crap caused by the shitty SVT dealership I was forced to take it to when it hit -35C and it didn't want to run.

I like the Focus', except the 4 door. One thing though, whats up with that skinny-ass chrome tip I'm not saying to put one the size of a coffee can, but anthing is better than that, IMO By the way, when are the Mach Edition/03 FSVT HIDs going in?

Well the skinny ass chrome tip is 2.5" which looks better than the original factory non-tip. I don't really want to go bigger than 2.5". For the price it will do just fine until I can get the exhaust done. I would get the HIDs but the price has gone up so they have escaped my grasp. I am leaning towards the ST170/RS headlights from the Euro foci. Also, I'm going to do what I can for an RS front and rear bumper so I can make the car about a foot shorter, all in due time

Not sure, they were almost down to a lower price than the stock lights, like $350 or something, I think they are about $600 right now

Looks like a nice audio setup you have so far. Trust me it'll never be perfect enough. You'll always find something to tinker with.

Man this is like version 5.0. I've been through several HUs, several amps, several subs, several speakers, and I just rewired the car for the 4th time (Everything from the Contour made the initial jump into the Focus 2 days after I got the car home from the dealership Right now, and I'm not exagerating, it's the best sounding car stereo I've heard... but then I'm surrounded by idiots who drive around pumping Eminem at 140db while still using all the stock speakers...

I'm well aware of the evil addictive properties of car audio...
