Re-check that you correctly un-did your previous mod.
Make sure none of the "paths" for the electricity crosses where it's not supposed to.
Did you solder the mod?? If so, you may have damaged the circuit paths and that's what's causing the problem.
I'd still unhook the battery for about 2 hours to truly clear all the codes.
