Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting CEL Light on 98 SVT

My CEL light has been on the past two days, never goes off and comes on as soon as the car is started. I did the 90,000 mile service at a dealer a month ago and they didn't find anything. I did replace my battery two days ago also. Could that have anything to do with it? I have read some of the other CEL posts, someone mentioned resetting the computer and/or pulling the code to see what the car is reading as the problem (neither of these things I know how to do!)

Wierd, this just happened to me not 30 minutes ago.. 47K miles, car's been running fine, just did some "spirited" driving about an hour ago, and now the CEL is on. Kind of bothers me, as I'm trying to sell my car right now, and don't want a CEL coming on during someone's test drive!
