Every time I get in or out of the car or turn a corner while driving, the seat pops and has this annoying squeaking sound.

Anybody else having this problem?

Anybody come up with a cure for this besides turning up the radio?

YES! ...but it's the passenger seat. I don't know exactly where to WD40! But I have noticed large gaps between the back and bum of the front seats. This may have something to so with it. The seat only squeaks on occasion. I just punch the seat near the top or the headrest. Seems to work for a little while .

I've tried WD40 on the parts underneath... looked for anything to be tightened... can't find anything.

It's such a pain in the a$$ - or should I say, under the a$$.

I've noticed the popping is more in the back of the seat.
Any clues?

The bottom of the seat seems to rock (tilting) up and down slightly making the popping sound.

Is there anyway to tighten things up to prevent this from doing it?

I had the same problem, when I went to a performance shop to have my racing seats put in the guy at the shop told me the reason my seat was sqeeking was becasue one of the bushings was worn out so when he put my new seats in he welded the metal together and now I don't have anymore squeeking.

Mine used to squeak and I found out that the brace across the seat pan was cracked which also caused some side ways movement. One day I will fix it, but for now I just sprayed it with WD40 and that has solved the squeaking. I was surprised that it worked.

How exactly can I tell if this is my problem?

Explain how you can even see the seat pan... do I need to take the seat out?

My back seat is making noise ever since I put the seats down for the first time a month or so ago.

Seems like it is the leather creaking against itself where the upper part meets the lower part. When it gets warm out I am going to take it all apart and see if I can fix it up.

So is it a wieght issue?

I'm not over weight, just tall.
6' 2"

I'm still trying to figure out what I can spray with WD40 to shut this thing up...

Popping seems to come from the back of the seat.
Squeaking comes from the bottom.
Seems to wiggle up and down and back and fourth (a bit).
