You guys must be using some really wierd sht to be buffing with. You should be buffing with 2000-3000 rpm depending on your knowledge of buffing. Sorta sounds like you need to be in the 800-900rpm range as to not hurt anything
Dont forget to use a foam waffle pad to polish with.
