replace everything w/ aftermarket.
get poly bushings, bigger sway bar, and if you have the cash, replace all struts,springs,etc. probably your suspension is just a little more worn than the SE, or your car was made on a friday
come drive my GL, i wonder if it handles better than your svt (i have svt sway bar, and it does handle pretty darn good).
