I had a 95 GT Mustang. I had to re-place the caliper on the back driver side it was bad. It made a howling noise. You say the brakes are half worn? I could be that the brakes are glazed over and are not making the contact it needs with the rotor. Have you tries new brakes and if so do they still do the same?
