My car was doing the exact same thing to me last year. It ended up being the plug wires, not the plugs. Check them out. At high RPMs the car wouldn't shake but at lower RPMs when one of the cylinder misses it can kick. It was the no.5 cylinder wire for me. The CEL blinking like that indicates a misfire, at least that's what the manual said.
