Member G Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 113 Rochester,NY	Hey guys Merry Christmas, thats my question...having problems similair to TPS with engine under load but no light...can it be cleaned or should it be cleaned....thanks 96 zetec gl.dynomax exhaust(self bent) KKM intake..Bridgestone Potenza RE-910's...other mods also 87' Ford Thunderbird..Now my daily driver ( the wife uses the contour mostly) true dual exhaust with the super mystery mod.(hey there not even there!) tinted windows and stereo upgrade. the $200 car is starting to be a great car

Big Jim Member B Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 1,861 Thousand Oaks, California, USA	Yes, it is possible for a TP sensor to be out of spec but not set a CEL. The parameters for the light to be set are broad enough that it may still act up. No, it cannot be cleaned and must be replaced if bad. It can be tested directly with a volt meter though.
