I will jump in with a quick reply. I, as some might know, have sceens my sunvisors. The istall is quite simple an only cost me around $600 for the dvd player, 3 screens (blew the first one ), an extra video wire, and a fm modulator.

I think the best DVD bang for your buck in a car, is a laptop computer. Can be used in car, or moved into anywhere else. My new Toshiba Satellite 1.13GB Celeron cost $799 at Costco, and plays DVDs (perfect quality playback), mp3 playback, DivX playback, all Windows Media and Real Networks playback, and has wireless WAN card added for anywhere in-city Internet access. In General, it does WAY, WAY, WAY more things than any car DVD player. If I watch a really cool DivX video movie in my car, and want to show my friend, I can unplug my AC to DC adapter and go inside his house and show him on lithium battery power. For now, I've been setting the laptop on my seat, but I will SOON buy one of these mobile laptop mount brackets (or else make one): http://www.laptraveler.com/automounts.htm
But you heard my opinion. I would never spend 600 on something that can only play DVDs and can't be mobile (so I don't have to leave it in my car for someone to steal it). Plus I can study online for my schooling anywhere I may be, for just 300 more than the plain old stationary car DVD cost
