3rd gear grind again

Hey guy's I on my second tranny and I started to get the third gear grind again. Was there ever a recall on our trannies or anything like that. It grind when I shift hard into 3rd and also if I'm just coasting and I have my foot all the way on the clutch it will still grind everytime I put it in 3rd even though my foot is all the way down on the clutch. Something is definatly wrong with our trannies. These new cars are so fragile. Anyway should I bring it to the dealer and ask for another tranny or should I try the synthetic and see what happens from there.

1)Did you have a 'new' trans or was it repaired? 2)Was the trans,if new,fitted after summer 2000???

it was a brand new trans they put in. I had a problem with it in the beginning but they fixed it. I had broken a trans mount so it wouldn't go into 1st 3rd or 5th. That was when they first put in the trans. A couple day's after that. I have 22k on my car now and I hope I can fix the trans so it doesn't grind third gear anymore.

If the car's under the 3/36 warranty, no problem. If not, then the tranny should fall under the 12/12K warranty.

If none of those conditions apply, then you may be in for a fight.
