Oh sure, put in a roll cage if you don't trust yourself as a driver!
No, seriously, put in a roll cage if you remove everything down to the outer skin of the car, because it will collapse on you if the wind blows too hard, let alone you getting in a wreck. Build the cage out of aluminium tubing and surround yourself and the engine with it. If you're really good, you can incorporate strut braces with your cage, but most importantly, you should protect yourself first and the engine/transmission second.
