dont have to take it off, it just pops down - opens further than usual, know what i mean?. i think i heard someone saying that there was some kind of a release, but i just pushed mine down really hard and it closed back up again fine. AFAIK, the only ones with the amp are the ones with "premium sound" or the cd player, but its just as easy to check. its a small silver box.

now officially a troll, i guess. used to have a black 96 SE, until it broke down one too many times. now I'm hunting for a motorycle.
