Jeremey, that's what he said. He put non-fuel hose on where fuel hose is needed. This is what he wrote:

Have you removed a fuel pump before??? The rubber lines had no risk of fire or explosion, only pressure failure. We knew we would have to replace it very soon anyway, but we had to get it running enough at the time to just get it out of the garage at the very least... We're surprised and happy that it lasted as long as it did and failed WHEN and WHERE it did (Rick's driveway). High pressure line is now in there, no worries.

This was a returnless pump right?
Confusion probably lies in that on mine (and Airknight's) return pumps there are no tank internal lines, so any fuel line rupture we could get would spew gas under the rear seat, under the car or on the engine.

Actually, the confusion was in that it's a custom installed Walbro fuel pump, return or returnless is the same. The top cap portion of the float bowl is removed and a "T" with short hose leads are put in it's place due to the offset nipple on the new pump. My appologies.

*update*
Fixed the fuel pump issue once and for all today, at least I think I did, provided under normal driving with no boost fuel pressure is between 30-40psi. Before then it was peaking at 60 and settling to 45 on the hwy, no I think I have it set up so everything flows the same as stock.
Overall this car is badass, its a blast to drive and I haven't been above 4000 rpm yet! I'm just trying to get my obd2 hooked up and then I can do some full throttle runs, after the break in period of 500 miles.
The chip still has a hole in teh warm idle map and causes it to kill everyonce in a while, its not real bothersome cause I can tell when it starts loading up and can clear her throat with a few blips of the throttle. I think I'll just wait to get it to the dyno for a custom tune and she'll be good to roll!

That sounds really awesome!
I can't wait to see a torque curve from the motor. When you get it dyno'd, be sure to list the pertinent mods again as I have seen so many different intended mod lists by different people that I get them confused if they aren't right in front of me. I want to take down the dyno data for comparison agains SC'd 2.5's, Turbo 2.5's, and 3.0 swap/hybrids so that I can develope a good idea of what mods will do what for our engines.
