1. Why? With the amount of material taken out the cylinder walls are going to be very thin and also the loss of material will cause the engine to run hotter since there is less natural "heatsink" to pull heat out of the cylinders.
Personally I would not build a 3.5L at all much less into either a Forced Induction engine or high rpm engine!
Another thing to think about is that if they don't use a custom forged crank (HIGH $$$) and machine the stock one enough to increase the stroke enough to make 3.5L it will significantly weaken the stock crank! Another no no for F/I & high rpm!

2. That's a given for any custom job such as that!
