My 95 SE MTx is missing when usinging large throttle openings at relatively low RPM. As long as you let the revs build slowly it is smooth but when you try to hammer the gas with RPMs below about 3000 it has a miss. The plugs are new and the wires appear to be in good shape. Any Ideas?

Ahhh, good ol Motorcraft plug wires, been through three sets in two years now. Real easy way to tell, go to a dark parking lot or something at night........have your engine running and raise the hood. Throttle the car and watch the wires, if you see the wires lighting up.....then replace them. Semms to cure mine every time.......problem seems to have started after I installed NGK plugs......went back to autolites and havent had problems since.

Sorry for the late reply I have been out of the country. I will check it out. The plugs are supposed to be new but it has the original (30k miles) plug wires.
