i think, you have to lengthen the fuel lines and i am sure that someone who is in the know will be along soon. later.

One thing is that you will have to modify the secondary linkage on the new LIM to operate using the older style vacuum operated actuator.

What year SVT lower? If it's the BAT late model, then the returnless rail and pencil injectors are no good for your car.
If it's the earlier style (aka smaller bore lower) with a return fuel rail and "regular" SVT injectors you are okay. The wiring harness injector plugs have to be flipped 180 degress in there shell to plug into the new top feed injectors, and the fuel lines must be sliced/spliced to be about 3 inches longer. I know a couple of us just sliced the nylon lines entirely and replaced them with goodyear FI hose held with rolled edge FI hose clamps.
Since your car is a 96 I think you have the IMRC as opposed to vac so it should be pretty straight forward other than the fuel lines.
--Just read your post again and see it's return style - you should be fine. Go ahead and use the new IMRC box too since it will be a lot newer than yours.--
As always - unless you are starving for fuel up top larger injectors will not add extra power and "might" cause drivability issues for the stock PCM.

No need to modify the secondary linkage. 96 uses electronic IMRC. What he need extra is either the SVT fuel injection wiring harness or have to do some wire splicing.

its out of a 98 svt, as far as slicing or splicing wouldnt it be easier to just buy the svt lines and have them replaced not to mention safer??? is it possible?? another question, is this mod not worthwhile then??

You have to splice both the injection wiring harness AND the fuel line. No other way around because you have a pre-98 that uses different wirings and different fuel injection hoses.
