It's not unsprung weight. The caliper doesn't move. I wasn't arguing with anythhing other than that. The weight loss would be nice but not as much of a benefit as if you were loosing that much unsprung weight.
The rest was my opinion which pretty much agrees with you. That is why I put a break in there!

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
