The best mod for a 98+ rear is a pre-98 trunklid. 
Others have painted the center reflector on the 98+ trunk to the color of the car (looks awesome with black or silver Contours; pretty redundant with T-red ones though).
I have pics in my sig of a painted rear reflector. I like it a lot better than stock.
