What is that costing you? If you don't mind me asking? Because I want to do the 3l swap my self here pretty soon.

it's not cheap. take the pricing from the website for the 3.0 block, UIM/LIM, flywheel and street clutch. add labor at 85/hour. I cannot remember how many hours exactly.

well, yeah, like I said, it wasn't cheap, so add the upper and lower intakes, as well as a clutch and lightened flywheel from their catalog. Also, I did have a set of heads ported and polished as well....the biggest reason for doing it this way was that my wife didn't like the idea of me and my buddies ripping into my car, when i can pay someone to do it, and not loose any time from work to do it! A plus is that Tom and Vadim told me that the work comes with that 12 month/12,000 mile warranty! At least I have some piece of mind.

And unfortunately, my car won't go in until Jan. 6th now. Oh well, maybe I can save a little money and get some headers! LOL....

Damn!!!

You could get the turbo kit, LSD, flywheel & clutch for that price!!!

Heck you can do a built 3L with LSD yourself for $2500. That's a ton of labor!!!

Not everyone is a DIY'er. Those that can't or don't have the time pay someone else to do the work for them. I'm sure Dion considered the price before he commited to the project and to him it made sense. I'm sure when it's done it's going to be a very fast and well tuned car.

You've got a month or so to save for those headers Dion, go for it!

I would be willing to do it my self. But I ive in an apartment so I have nowhere to work on it. The labor is something like 2200. I am currently trying to find a 3.0 from somewhere besides sho shop to save some money.

$2200 is almost exactly what I paid in labor for my 3L build plus Quaife install. Also includes the cost to machine the Quaife ($200).

Now, as far as what I paid for the block and what they are charging now ...
