Anyone seen this before??



Does anyone want this? It's in my basement, and I don't have a Contour to put it into any more. Shoot me a PM if you'd like to know how to make it for yourself... or maybe.. hmm.. well maybe you want this one!? It's painted all black now.

Pretty damn good for something you can't see at all, and doesn't rob any space from the trunk!

If you've heard two 10" subs in a sealed box, then that's pretty much it. It's no SPL setup, but it was VERY nice.. loud enough for me.

so I am assuming you put a floor over that...what floor did you use?

You're right, there's a false floor over that so you can throw stuff in the trunk.

I had made a 1" false floor out of masonite pegboard laminated to a sheet of styrofoam. Covered it in carpet underpadding underneath and upholstered the top. Cut two reliefs for the drivers in the foam. Then I ran the stock carpet on top of it all, and no one was the wiser.

The false floor weighs about 2 lbs, and it's very strong, you can stand on it. I've made the exact same type in my GTI now.
