so true. I considered buying one before the SVTC but they were only available in atx, horrid handling, and they're so common. I didn't find it too hard to sacrifice .5 second in the 1/4 and get the Contour.


Exact same thing here!

I test drove one just to satisfy my curiousity when I was looking for a new car.

I hated it!
Floaty, boat like handling with no feel of the road and no control of the gears since it's a slushbox. Yes the old Buick engine makes some decent power, but the many other downfalls vastly overcome that.
Then there's the tacky cheap plastic interior.

It's definitely not a driver's car! Hence why I bought the SVT. It is a driver's car.
