its a stock 240hp sc'ed gtp. this guy claims 12's but ive never really seen one run. its a coupe so it is a bit lighter... and it does have a rice wing on it so that adds alot of speed too right? let me know if you have ever gone up against one or if you know of the times.

I just asked this question several weeks ago...they ran like upper 14's stock...but with a pulley and intake they can be down to 13's. 12's is very possible in a GTP, but there has to be a decent amount of mods. There are some GTP websites that say there are GTP's running 11's too.

A friend of mine has a GTP and ran a 14.4 w/ only cat-back exhaust. His first time at the track too. Another friend has one with 3.4 pulley, i/e, shift kit, tranny cooler and ran a 13.8. Needless to say, they are beasts. Even better sleepers than a SVTC. Only thing is they are about as common as air! -Neal

I wouldn't doubt it if he had something done to the car. But if it's stock... I don't think so.

yeh, there are a pretty good number of GTPs running 12's. They have 240 hp but its the 280 ft lbs torque (stock) that gets em movin.

so true. I considered buying one before the SVTC but they were only available in atx, horrid handling, and they're so common. I didn't find it too hard to sacrifice .5 second in the 1/4 and get the Contour. -Neal
