I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I can't find anything specific on it. I found a 2000 3L block and plan to use the 2.5 SVT heads.. will this work and what if any mods need to be considered?

So after reading that, I'm gathering that with the 2000 Block I will have to drill and tap the knock sensor hole to fit the SVT sensor. Other than that, the 2000 block should bolt right up and be just fine with the SVT heads. Correct?

SVT_Nate, you need to do more research (i.e. searching) on the 3.0L forum. Someone on this forum has made a faq which details the mods needed to make the SVT heads work with the 3.0L block. Especially the extra oil drainback hole and the extra oil feed hole to the RH side head. You will also need to grind down the transmission pilot bushing flush with the crankshaft. I think you might also have to drill a mounting hole in the oil pan.

Make sure you go and search the archives as well. The link to the archives is in the top right of the page.
